TeamTool is a concept application, in which we've tested how should team collaboration and communication work using only mobile phones. Here's a few of the application's features explained.

Login & sign up

If you'd like to start using TeamTool, just download the application and tap on the "Sign up" text on TeamTool login screen.

TeamTool features

Whether it's a sports team, a club of aficionados or a working group, TeamTool brings you a variety of collaboration tools right in your mobile phone.

Teams

Teams are the basis of TeamTool. You can create your own teams or join established ones.

Invitations to friends can be sent from TeamTool - the application utilizes your phone contacts.

Joining teams & members

Members add up to your team when people join in.

Team Messages

You can send messages to all your team members. The messages can be SMS, e-mail or TeamTool's internal messages.

Member actions & location

To dial your team members, send individual messages or view your team members location, go to Members menu.

Calendar entries

Calendar entries are shown to all team members and can be saved to the phone's calendar.

Once a calendar entry is added, it's visible to all your team members.

Calendar entries can be saved into your phone calendar.

Landmarks & location

TeamTool utilizes GPS location data for team locations and landmarks. Landmarks are your physical locations created by your team members. You can add media files to your landmarks, such as videos, pictures or sound.

It's also possible to use to GPS location data to see the last known location of team members. The location is updated whenever your team members use TeamTool. It's also possible to switch location-sharing off.

Twitter posts

Post to your Twitter feed directly from TeamTool.

  • TeamTool works on S60 5th edition mobile phones with Flash Lite 3.1 and has been tested on Nokia 5800 Xpressmusic.
  • You will need mobile internet access to work with TeamTool - WLAN or 3G/GPRS, either one is OK.
  • TeamTool takes about 400 kB of your phone's memory.
